Long Life Takes Much Budget

Tolong Manik (79) lived in Medan. He had retired from civil servant. He has 6 married children with 19 grandchildren. His health condition worsened after he fell in the bathroom couple months ago. when he fell, he could not stand up and his left chest hit the floor. Mind his old age, he transfered and admitted to the Heart Hospital Harapan Kita in Jakarta

for 14 days observation. His heart inflammed and atherosclerosis was found but he refused to have coronary angioplasty. he also has long standing illnesses like diabetes, high cholesterol, gout, prostate and his right eye could not see. After his health improved, the hospital released him.

After his fall, he started to think that may be this was his last opportunity to visit his children and grandchildren that live in Bali. because of that, he directly flew over to Bali first and then returned back to Medan. Before his fall, he keep his health with routinely exercises, played tennis and dieting his meals.

For his operational daily life, beside his pension he also owned a palm plantation about 10 hectares that could produce about 15 tonnes of palm fruit each month
